Providence volunteers build
a storage shed for
Safe Harbor Inn.
Why
it works
The Safe Harbor Inn is a unique, cost-effective, and very
simple solution to the all-too-common and complex problem
of homelessness. The overwhelming majority of Safe Harbor
Inn guests move directly from the motel to permanent housing.
They succeed because the Safe Harbor Inn offers an ideal transitional
environment—respectful, helpful, kind, affordable, convenient,
safe, and comfortable—for them to move away from homelessness
and toward self-sufficiency.
How you can help
All contributions to the Safe Harbor Inn are greatly appreciated
and are tax-deductible (our federal tax ID number is 92-0170285).
Donations of cash are particularly welcome.
In addition, your in-kind contributions of supplies and services
help keep our operating costs low—less than $8 per
bed night—and our rooms affordable for our guests.
HUD volunteers bring a
Merry Christmas to
Safe Harbor Inn kids.
Volunteers from BP Exploration
and
Credit Union 1 help out on
the Day of Caring 2003.
